Rocky Mountain Arsenal National Wildlife Refuge

This was our first trip to the Rocky Mountain Arsenal National Wildlife Refuge in Denver Colorado. We didn’t even know it existed until a month or so ago.

This place was unlike anything we had seen in Colorado. Sure we see wildlife often living here but this place was so close to downtown Denver that you were able to see the Denver skyline. The entire park is about a 11 miles of driving and takes about 45 min if you barely stop along the way. For us it took a couple hours only cause of the amazing photography opportunities. Bison, birds, deer and owls were the animals we saw the most of while here. I am sure there was a lot more out there but several areas you are unable to get out of your car. Future adventures I am sure will bring us many cool animals.

If you are ever in the area or want something FREE and fun to do, you must check this place out. It will be a go to spot for us and we cannot wait to see it in the various seasons over the coming years.
