Your Wedding, Near Pueblo Colorado!

So, you are getting married and you live near Pueblo, Colorado. Thankfully, and not so thankfully, you have a lot of choices when choosing your wedding photographer for your big day. A quick google search and you will see quite a few options. You might have found us because of that. We are in the top 5 that usually pop up. But there is a lot of things you need to consider when choosing your wedding photographer. Let’s talk about a few of these and why we are the best choice for you!

Cost:

One of the first things you might consider is “cost” when choosing a wedding photographer. There are photographers that are offering wedding packages for $300 all the way up to tens of thousands of dollars. We suggest you should look at around 3-5 photographers when choosing the best for you. Look at the world of someone slightly under your budget, look at a couple around your budget and look at one or two above your budget. You may even want to reach out to a few of them and see what they fully offer. Us for example, you may see that our prices are higher than you want. But once you realize that we offer two photographers for your day you realize that this is a better investment because we can capture your day from two angles. Maybe you see also that we are a little more expensive but we also offer video with most of our weddings. You quickly realize that you are spending a little more with us but you are getting a LOT more value.

Quality:

There is no question this should be something on your mind when looking. Does the photographer show consistently great quality in their images or is there consistency a little off? Does the photographer edit some photos great and others not so great. Do they only have really good photos in nice shaded light or can they capture great images in the rain. How is their lowlight work? Can they capture beautiful images in dark reception halls? These are things you should consider. It is easy to take beautiful images in nice cloudy days but this is out of your control. Your photographer should be able to beautiful images anywhere. Ask your photographer if they can show you a few full wedding albums. Not just the few photos on their website. If they are not willing to show you a few full weddings, we would run. Don’t let them tell you things like “oh, my clients don’t allow me to share their photos”. This may be true for some but unless this person you are hiring is only photographing celebrities they have clients that would allow them to show the full album.

How does this apply to us? Well, just ask. We have full albums we would be happy to show you for weddings we photograph. Almost all our couples allow us to share theirs. We have nothing to hide. We can photograph in rain or shine. Bright or dark. There is not really anything we can’t handle because of our 13 years of experience and dozens of weddings we have photographed.

Personality:

We highly, HIGHLY, recommend you meeting with your photographer before your big day. Actually before you even book them. Maybe narrow down your top 2 choices for your big day. We would say you should meet with them over coffee or zoom. This is extremely important to ensure that you and your photographer vibe well together. Just because they have good work that you connect with doesn’t mean they are the best choice for you. Do you and your photographer share the same humor? Do you share similar values? You can usually tell if you like someone after a meeting with them. If your prospected photographer says they are too busy to meet and just to book them, RUN. No wedding photographer should be too busy to have a zoom call with you before you decide to invest a lot of your hard earned money with them.

If you found us and think we might be a great fit for your wedding day, we encourage you to reach out. We will take you to coffee, have a zoom meeting, anything that fits your schedule. We will answer any and all your questions, we will share our full day weddings with you and we will learn to understand your needs and wants for your dream day. We cannot wait to capture some beautiful moments with you!
