5 great spots to take photos in Pueblo Colorado
Pueblo Nature Center
This spot is great almost anytime of the year. The Nature Center has really done amazing too with leaving some little hidden gems for photos and kids to play on. The first picture is a perfect example of how they have left some fallen trees to use. There are a couple spots in the area that work amazing. Second, if the water is not too high you get some cool spots down by the water. Honestly, you can’t go wrong with the Nature Center anytime of the year!
Anticline Lake - Pueblo Reservoir
This is another gem in the Pueblo area. Tucked away inside the Pueblo Reservoir, Anticline lakes provides lots of opportunity to capture beautiful photos. A little woods, a little lake and some long winding roads. This area tends to go really brown and dead in the winter and summer evenings there are a lot of bugs in the area but when you hit it just right these are amazing photos you will cherish for a long time!
Mineral Palace Park
This park is the perfect spot for spring summer and just beginning of fall. The flower gardens, the lake with all the geese. You really can’t go wrong at Mineral Palace Park most of the year. Easy access for parking and walking this is a spot that grandparents love and kids. One of the advantages of this part is the wildlife. When we are photographing families we will always shoot a few photos for just mom and dad and kids often have nothing to do. Mineral Palace Park has so much wildlife the kids can chase squirrels and geese all around while mom and dad get a few photos. It is a win win.
City Park Stone Bridge
We cannot tell you how many people we photograph say they have never seen this bridge before. Now, we understand why, because you cannot see this spot from the road when driving by the park and unless you are really familiar with the park or a frisbee golf player, you might never even see it but we LOVE this spot. Hidden inside a very wooded area the stone bridge provides the perfect spot for photos all year long. This is great for individuals and smaller families and depending on the time of the year you get completely different looks from this spot! Def a must have for photos.
The Cliffs - Pueblo Reservoir
This spot we chose to feature last because it is very different from the other spots. While the other locations give you a more secluded, woodsy feel, The Cliffs at Pueblo Reservoir are completely different. Wide, open with a beautiful lake and even more beautiful sunset. The cliffs is not great for those with problems walking but for those that this is not an issue, The Cliffs are amazing! I don’t think we have seen a sunset here that we didn’t love.
